About us:

ZSL e.V. was founded in 1988 by activists as a non-profit association for the self-representation of people with disabilities. According to the motto: „Nothing about us without us!“ Today, people with and without disabilities work together towards the goal of enabling people to participate equally in all areas of life. We are committed to genuine inclusion and offer a wide range of services that support people with disabilities in leading a self-determined life.

As a service for the disabled, we offer:

Consulting.

We offer people with disabilities, relatives and institutions social advice on all aspects of disability.

Education.

We want to raise public awareness of the concerns of people with disabilities. Through workshops, seminars and readings, we want to draw attention to barriers, ableism and discriminatory structures. 

Encounter.

We create spaces for encounters - open to all. To this end, we offer a variety of events where people with and without disabilities can come together.

Prerequisites

You want to make sure that...

• disabled people are accepted in their diversity in society and disability is perceived and recognized as part of human normality and diversity.
• all services in the social area can be used by people with disabilities.
• People whose legitimate concerns are often ignored are given a voice.

Your profile

• You are a registered student of social work, social pedagogy, curative education or comparable courses of study
• You would like to support our specialists in the planning, organization and implementation of events and educational offers as well as in advising people with disabilities
• You identify with the mission statement of ZSL e.V. and would like to learn more about self-determination and participation
• You are reliable and have an independent way of working
