Objectives of political and committee work

Our political work and our work in committees is committed to people with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
We want to Equality, Self-determination and full participation.
We are against any form of discrimination.

Our goals

  • Securing and strengthening rights: We are committed to ensuring that a self-determined life in the community is truly possible.

  • reach politicians and the public: We bring experience from consulting and practice to committees and discussions so that things can improve.

  • Strengthen self-representation: People with disabilities should have a say in decision-making and represent the company externally. Peer counseling is our basis for this.

  • Act independently: We are not party political and not ecclesiastical bound. We work objectively and for the common good.

1) Sustainability Council (City of Erlangen)

The Sustainability Advisory Board advises the city administration and the city council on sustainability issues.
It makes suggestions, gives recommendations and helps to raise awareness of sustainability in the city.

ZSL brings the perspective of people with disabilities to the table.

2) Council for Social Justice (Erlangen)

The Advice is a group of organizations that are committed to social policy.
It advises and coordinates. The aim is More social justice in the city.

3) Senior Citizens' Advisory Council (City of Erlangen)

4) Social and Health Committee / Works Committee EJC (City of Erlangen)

The committee deals with topics from Social and health policy (also works committee EJC).

5) Working group „Barrier-free togetherness“ (district of Erlangen-Höchstadt)

The ArGe is committed to the interests of people with disabilities in the district.

6) Bamberger Arbeitsgemeinschaft chronisch kranker und behinderter Menschen e. V. (ARGE Bamberg)

The ARGE represents the interests of chronically ill and disabled people in the city and district of Bamberg.
